How would you like to potentially represent Tokay High in a community tree planting for NHS hours for the next 100 years? Come to the Peterson Park Tree planting, sponsored by Tree Lodi and the Lodi Parks and Recreation team!

When: Registration Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m - 1 pm

Schedule:

10:00 am Event starts

10:30 am Tree planting demonstration (IMPORTANT!)

1:00 pm Event cleanup (subject to change)

Where: Peterson Park Picnic Shelter (Evergreen Drive in Lodi) SEE ATTACHED MAP

What to bring: Bring a shovel, a rake, gloves, good shoes if you can. You will be walking around in dirt and working hard. Put your name on your shovel and rakes

Parking: Please note that the two sides of the park will be closed off to parking. Park on Elm St. or Bayberry Dr. or any of the other streets around the park.

Better yet, get dropped off by parents or carpool.

What is my role?

We will need :

People to help with cookie refreshments (2)

People to help with tree planting (teams of 3)

People to take photos & do press coverage with Lodi News (2)

Site cleanup crew (everyone who can stay)

Strong people to dig ditches (as many as can make it)

Tokay High will be planting 11 trees:

I have no tree planting experience like the majority of people! Help!

This is OK. Please be sure to be on time for the ONE AND ONLY tree planting demonstration at 10 am. We will also have help from a junior arborist and a green/orange vested individual who will check us off for quality control.
